How much for church costs

As subject I heard they are being charged £600 to get married in a church ? Is this right ?

Hi there,
It depends on what is involved. We are paying £500 for church, choir and organist - no royalty fees needed as we are not having it filmed - I think this can double the cost of the organist and choir!
We are then paying £200 on top for the flowers in the church.

We're paying 450 for our church, 100 for the organist, 100 for the choir and 60 for bells. It all adds up, I can see why some people opt for a registry office now.

Our church is £1,080. That includes choir and bells too. So expensive!! That is without flowers!

I think the parish can charge what they like.........My sister got married 2 years ago and paid £900 for the church. Friends of ours got married in a very popular chapel in Kent last year and had to pay almost £2k! I think they had to pay al sorts of other fees too for bells etc..supply and demand an' all that!!!

hi,
im paying 650 for the church im getting married at , which includes church bells, organist etc
but dont know how much the church flowers will cost yet
