There are three things you need to know about the 2017 bridal collection from Oksana Mukha: One – there aren’t any gowns in the world like them. Two – the use of illusion and lace is jaw-dropping. And three – if you’re looking to show off your figure, the silhouettes of this collection are stunning. In fact, the word stunning just isn’t big enough to encapsulate the grandeur and…just…wowness of these gowns by Ukrainian designer Oksana Mukha. Her incredible story began during the breakup of the former Soviet Union, when she was disheartened to find a gown to be married in amid the economic unrest. So she made herself one. Thus began the empire that is now her designer bridal house of fashion.
Now her gowns are all over the world, and 2017 brings a whole new evolution of luxury in their design detail – Swarovsky crystals, unique necklines, decadent back details, hip-hugging silhouettes, and a talent for layering lace and illusion in a way to create an effect people call the “tattoo-effect.” The contrast between the head-to-toe layers and details of some gowns with the stark, crisp white mermaid styles is hard to take my eyes off of! Throw away your thesaurus, because there just aren’t beautiful enough words to describe these fairy tale gowns. Enjoy!
