Question to Ask When You Go to See Wedding Venue

Once you have short listed wedding venues and have made appointments to go and check them, you should ensure that you ask all the right questions there. It is never really a good idea to compromise on a wedding venue or to make the decision without proper planning or consideration. It is always helpful when you are prepared with questions that you can ask before you visit the venue. With a checklist, you can ensure that you don’t miss out on anything important. Given below is a list of questions that you should ask when you visit a wedding venue:

  • What is the cost for hiring the wedding venue?

  • Will there be a beak down and set up fee?

  • What about the cancellation notice?

  • How much deposit will you have to pay?

  • Do they have a wedding package available and does it include the hiring cost for the venue?

  • What would be the cost of the civil wedding ceremony? Is there an extra charge for getting the ceremonial room?

  • Would it be exclusive use and would there be a premium for you to pay?

  • Would it be shared? If it is, how many weddings would be there that day?

  • What are the restrictions- disabled access, decorations, confetti, candles?

  • Is there any space available for hanging coats or a coat room?

  • Can you use a wedding planner or coordinator of your own and do they have an in-house planner available?

  • Does the venue have a dance floor?

  • Are there any noise restrictions?

  • What is the time for the entertainment to stop?

  • Is the parking sufficient?

  • Would the waiting staff gratuities be included?

  • Is there any accommodation available for guests that wish to stay overnight?

  • Are there any changing rooms available for the groom, bride and the guests?

  • Are there any locations around for good photography?

  • Do they provide a list of caterers and other vendors?

  • Do they have a cake stand?

  • If they would be handling the catering for you, ask about the cocktails or drinks to be served.

  • Would you be able to taste the sample menus?

  • Is there any facility for a bar? Would it be open, partly paid or paid?

  • What will be the corkage price if you bring drinks of your own?

Selecting the perfect wedding venue will need some time, a lot of planning and organization. With this list of questions you will ensure that you stay on track with the selection process.
