One of the most important aspects to planning your big day is setting the right budget before doing anything else, and unless you are one of the very affluent it is likely that you will need to plan your wedding finances very carefully. Early beginnings

c Set a budget and allocate responsibilities to those who are helping you.
c Open a wedding bank account
c Organise wedding insurance
c Decide on type of your wedding

c Arrange the first meeting with your minister, priest, rabbi , civil venue or registrar

Arrange a second visit with minister to discuss service, hymns and dates for the reading of the banns

Give notice of marriage to the superintendent registrar if which a Church other than Church of England

For civil weddings, book the registrar, ask the registrar what readings and music are permitted

Book band, musicians or DJ to play at ceremony and reception
c Organise gift list & choose a company for the wedding gift list
c Book a transport for you, your parents and attendants

Buy bridal & bridesmaids accessories

Buy the certificate of license from the registrar

3 months

c Confirmed numbers of guests and have seating plan and place cards
c Confirmed
in writing the number of guests to your caterer
c Book your hen and stag nights
c Book make-up and hairdresser, manicure try out different looks
c Finalise transport

 

2-1 months

c Reconfirm bookings
c Final try on your wedding outfit, including headdress, shoes and underwear
c Arrange to have cake delivered at venue
c Arranged for luggage to be delivered to you hotel
c Arranged a rehearsal at the wedding venue
c Exchange money currency and traveller's cheques for your honeymoon
c Visit the hairdresser to try out hairstyles with your veil and tiara
c
Make Photography checklist you want take shots & send them to the photographers
 

1 week -The day before

c Pack your honeymoon luggage & sent luggage to you first night hotel
c
Double check your outfit is complete
c Have a manicure, pedicure and any other pampering treatments
