A civil ceremony can be
held at any register
office in England or
Wales, or at any
approved venue licensed
to hold weddings under
the Marriage Act,
including many stately
homes, prestigious
buildings, hotels and
restaurants.
You can
invite as many guests as
your venue will allow to
a civil wedding, but
just remember you will
need to bring at least
two other people who are
prepared to witness the
marriage and sign the
marriage register.
