Hydrangeas tend to be pricey, but because they are so full, it does not take a lot of stems to create a lush bouquet. Something Blue Wedding
Most of us have heard the traditional advice that says brides should wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue” on their wedding day.
Starting with the traditional, many brides wear jewellery or accessories which have a touch of blue in them, or incorporate blue flowers into their bouquet. Another option is to have your blue hidden – either as a blue garter, lingerie or piece of blue ribbon sewn into the lining of your wedding dress. We’ve also seen some beautiful blue embroidery done on the inside hem of a wedding dress with the date and initials of the bride and groom.
As for the more wacky blue ideas, the brides-to-be we asked came up with a great variety of items, such as: cake toppers, a blue wedding car, Everton knickers (her favourite football team!), nail varnish, wellies (for a wet, wintry wedding), a belly-button ring, and some crafty brides were planning on painting the bottoms of their wedding shoes blue!
